It was a bit unexciting. This is the first time; I ALMOST walked out from the cinema. But 'thanks' to Acap, he made me stay for another hour and a half. But the movie is definitely beautiful albeit it’s typical storyline. The screenplay seemed well-written though quite straightforward. The costumes and sets are gorgeous, the cinematography is exquisite, the animals are cute (especially Rosie the elephant). Since I didn't read the novel, I can't attest to its congruency with the film. Waltz will be the go-to person for the upcoming psycho roles. He just digs it I think and he creates the most intimidating gentleman on screen (but he's really beginning to be typecast as such). Witherspoon looked average to me as Marlena, but I may be biased so I won't go into it much. But I've to admit that Pattinson's part as Jacob, from laughter to extreme frustration; he displays a wide array of emotions, showing his worth as an actor. Finally.

#-i-wanna-be-a-film-critics-but-successfully-fails. -THOR-
Ahh.. The Mighty THOR
Chris Hemsworth wasn't even on the director's original shortlist -- and his brother Liam Hemsworth was. And I was like "WHAT? (--in Barney's tone on HIMYM) , the dude that stars in that awful-why-the-studio-even-bother-to-release-this-as-a-movie "The Last Song". Man, thank God it didn't happen. I mean this dude dated a Cyrus for pete's sakes. That says alot about the man's taste or acting ability.
Anyway, so Shamil been waiting for months for the movie to come out. After work, we all gathered in KLCC to watch the movie. I gotta say it is "Thunderously" good entertainment!
The Norse god Thor is admittedly one of Marvel's second-league superheroes, but just like Iron Man, both are inevitable steps in Marvel's continuing march towards arguably the most highly anticipated comic book adaptation in movie history next year- "The Avengers". Yet, if there's anything to learn from the "Iron Man" experience, it's that it's entirely possible to turn a B-league superhero into an A-grade feature film with just the right star and the right director. And kudos to the Marvel team for doing it once again with "Thor", a thoroughly entertaining blockbuster of a film that succeeds thanks to the unlikely choices of Kenneth Branagh (yes, he's the guy from Harry Potter - Professor Gilderoy Lockhart) as director and Chris Hemsworth as the Mighty Thor or (-- mighty sexy, i'll say). The supporting cast was good (Kat Dennings was actually really good as Jane's annoying friend who freshens up the humor throughout the movie) but Tom Hiddleston steals the show, as the envious of Thor and mischievous villain Loki. The best parts of the movie are actually those where Thor is learning to function around humans. There's a running gag in the movie – Thor makes sneering comment to human, is promptly taken down by a hypodermic needle, or Kat Dennings' taser, or knocked down by a car. In the vein of - "You dare threaten me with that puny aaaargh".
Anyway, all things considered, it's a fun movie, and good for a few laughs (I loved the bit where Thor calls Agent Coulson "Phil, son of Coul" or the part where Agent Coulson says "Is that one of Stark's?" ). Go see it, just don't expect the Dark Knight. And stay for the post credit teaser scene (which Shamil made us wait for 10 minutes) that's become the trademark of these pre-Avengers movies.
"Whoever wields this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor."

What if..
What if..
Those are the two words that i absolutely hate.
Its like you will keep wondering and never let go.
But today (i feel blue btw & boredom mostly), i kept thinking
what if...
...my folks don't split up?
...i spend my high school year in Sri Inai rather than in Setiawangsa hellhole?
...my parents are filthy rich?
...i figure out earlier about what i want to do in college & be absolutely awesome with what i chose?
...Twilight was actually a good series?
but..
...if my folks had not split up, i wouldn't be as mature i am now (well, not entirely... but sufficient enough..hehe). i'm closer to my mum now than i ever was before.
...if i didn't change school, i wouldn't meet my sayangs-amazing-cool-as-hell best friends (shout out to Shamil & Fizi )
...if my parents is rich as hell, i wouldn't understand the value of money and become a spoiled brat like someone-i-knew-very-well-but-will-not-be-mentioned-in-here.
...no buts! my diploma is a joke. Thanks.
...if it was, Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart wouldn't be in it. And we need movies to contribute in worst-movie-ever-made list.
Maybe everything happens for a reason..
i have to let go all of my regrets & angers and move on.
i can't wait for a miracle any longer.
i need to make a change.
i want to do things that i wouldn't normally do..
a comforting words from someone wouldn't hurt either.
BUT WHERE TO START?
Much love,
